FIREWORKS FESTIVAL IN JAPAN 2022 (Autumn)

Fireworks are one of a long-standing-traditions in Japan and there are Japanese fireworks festivals practically every weekend. Compared to others overseas, Japanese fireworks are extravaganza and delicate thanks to lots of pyrotechnicians. In this video, we list up some of recommended firework festival in this 2022 autumn.

 

1. kōnosu firework festival

Date: 2022.10.1(Sat) 18:00-20:00
Kounosu fireworks is the World Record holder of the largest firework in the world, by launching the heaviest / largest aerial firework shell ever. It was approximately 464 kilograms and exploded into a (just under) 800 meters ball of light. You can enjoy this largest firework festival this year too and they normally launch approximately 15,000 fireworks.

2. Tsuchiura National firework competition

Date : 2022.11.05(Sat) 17:30-20:00
The Tsuchiura Fireworks competition is an underrated annual spectacle that is not well known by tourists. Held on the Sakuragawa riverside in the Gakuen-ohashi area, there’s plenty of seating with a good view. The newest designs and creations are displayed by the best pyrotechnicians in Japan.

3. Kobe Port Firework Festival

Date : 2022.Oct.17-22 18:3018:40

In 2022, there will be a small-scale firework event with a 10-minute firework show every day for 5 consecutive days. Officially the “Kobe Port Marine Fireworks Festival”, this event is rated as one the top fireworks festivals in the Kansai region. In past years, approximately a quarter of a million people have gathered to see 15,000 explosive projectiles shot into the night sky. Meriken Park is the main free spot for viewing the fireworks, but expect huge crowds. The fireworks are launched from barges located between Kobe Harborland and Port Island.
